The sioux was a warrior tribe of the middle ages. They chose the bird and the devil as a sign because one day the heard from catholic people that devil habitat was down the earth and the Sioux were not catholics, they believed in the power of nature so they thought that if the devil was down in the earth, he was the one that mastered all the forces they obtained. On the other hand the bird was what the Siouxs were trying to achieve: to fly and conquer the skies so they were bird worshippers. The diamond was a symbol of hope for the Soiuxs, thats why they used to put diamonds in most of their gear.
